Our bright, clean, organized space features a well-equipped Machine Room, Bench Room, Classroom, Lumber Room, Tool and Supply Room, and a Project Storage Room. Our building has accessible off-street parking, a ramp, and an elevator.

We have two SawStop Industrial Cabinet Table Saws - one set to make rip cuts and one set to make crosscuts. The SawStop saw’s 36" Industrial T-Glide Fence System provides smooth operation, precision measurement and sure lockdown without deflection. SawStop’s Safety System stops on contact with skin.

Machine Room

Our Machine Room is a large, organized, well-lit space filled with a variety of heavy-duty tools and equipment designed for precision cuts, shaping, and sanding. The room is equipped with a 15HP dust collection system with direct ducts from each large machine. With sturdy work tables, tool storage, and carts available for member use, our Machine Room is designed to accommodate both beginners and experienced woodworkers in a shared, collaborative setting.

Bench Room

Our Bench Room is a dedicated space for hands-on crafting, offering multiple sturdy workbenches equipped with vises and various bench dogs. It’s designed for detailed, precision work like carving, hand tool work, sanding, and assembling projects. The Bench Room is typically quieter and more focused than the Machine Room, providing a calm environment for members to fine-tune their creations.

Lathe Room

Our Lathe Room is a specialized area dedicated to woodturning. It is equipped with multiple lathes and a variety of turning tools like gouges, chisels, and scrapers. The space is designed for both safety and precision, with proper ventilation and dust collection to manage wood dust and bright lights to ensure accuracy.

Classroom

Our Classroom is a versatile space designed for instruction and learning. It is equipped with tables, chairs, a large workbench, and visual aids like a whiteboard and a large screen TV with full A/V capabilities. The room is often used for workshops, demonstrations, and classes on woodworking techniques, tool use, and safety practices.

Our classroom space is available for rent! Groups of up to 35 can reserve the space and enjoy all of the amenities as well as ample off-street parking in downtown Saratoga. Contact info@saratogajoinery.org if you’d like to learn more.

Tool Room

Our Tool Room is an organized space where essential hand tools and power tools are stored and maintained. Shelves, pegboards, cabinets, and drawers keep tools like saws, drills, planes, chisels, hammers, and screwdrivers neatly arranged and easy to access. All tools are available for member use and the space is designed to ensure that woodworkers can find the right tool for any task.

PPE Station

Our PPE Station is equipped with ear and eye protection, face shields, dust masks, and gloves. Eye protection is required in our Machine Room. Dust masks and ear protection are recommended for certain tools. Our PPE Station also contains a fully-stocked First Aid Kit. There is always someone First Aid/CPR/AED Certified on site.

Gallery and Gift Shop

Our members create beautiful items here, and we are proud to display the work they’re willing to leave with us. We offer a profit-share with members who are interested in selling their pieces, so there are beautiful, handcrafted items for sale year-round. Come by and take in some art, become inspired, and feel good about supporting a local cause and a local maker!

Project Storage Room

Our Project Storage Room is a designated space for members to safely store unfinished or in-progress projects. The room has four rows of 8’ tall, 18” wide, 16” depth lockers available for member use. The lockers can be divided into ¼  or ½ sizes as well as a full locker.

Band Saws

We have two Powermatic Band Saws. Band Saws are great for making rounded corners, cutting circles, resawing boards to a specific thickness, and making vertical cuts. The exclusive Powermatic T-square style Accu-Fence® maximizes accuracy and safety, while the micro-adjustable, virtually tool-less bearing guide system gives close blade control while reducing friction.

Drill Press

Our Powermatic 1800B Drill Press boasts 6” of quill travel with one revolution of the handle, a reversible handle that can be mounted on either side of the machine for more comfortable working of the quill, and a fence system adjustable for a perfect 90-degree relationship to the table and for rapid alignment of stock.

Jointer

Our Powermatic 1285 HH 12" jointer offers big capacity and performance in a machine that is loaded with features. Large center-mounted fence assembly adjusts easily via rack and pinion system with ram lock. Preset stops on the fence body allow for fast angle set-up at 45° in and out, and a positive stop for perfect 90° angles. The parallelogram design keeps the table in close proximity to the cutter heads for improved finish and allows for a fast depth of cut adjustment.

Router Table

Our JessEm router lift pairs beautifully with our custom-built table. The router lift features double sealed ball bearings, which allow the user to experience super-smooth rotation and unmatched durability, even when handling the heaviest routers.

Planer

Our Powermatic 180 HH 18” Planer features a helical cutter head and an 18” wide, 6” thick capacity. The powerful 5HP motor can smooth and level your board surface to a consistent thickness every time.

Sliding Compound
Miter Saws

The Makita Sliding Compound Miter Saws is an important machine for making both straight and angled cuts into the wood for moulding, trim work, rafters, and other carpentry applications. The Makita’s unique 2-Steel Rail Sliding System design offers single slide-glide operation. An in-front bevel lock feature allows for ease of use. The saw miters 0-60° left and right and bevels 0-48° left and right. We have a 10" and a 12" saw.

Panel Saw

Our SawTrax 2000 Panel Saw uses a 52” Makita saw and features an Accu-Square alignment system. It also features an Accu-Glide sealed bearing system with 12 bearings to travel up and down the 11 gauge nickel chrome plated guide tubes. The guide tubes are attached to the frame with identical top and bottom brackets ensuring a straight travel of the saw. The top bracket is fixed to the machine and the bottom bracket can be moved with the Accu-Square indexed alignment system allowing for 1/32″ incremental movement.

Edge Sander

Our South Bend 6" x 108" oscillating edge sander makes smoothing and finishing your work a breeze. This machine features sanding surfaces that tilt vertically and horizontally, a T-slot table and miter gauge, and three different sanding drums. Sanding a piece at table height is easier and gives the user a much better view of their work.
